Love & ROAR is an exploration into the subversion of the rom-com, and is at its heart a love letter to the Kaiju franchise. Welcome to Bay City, “The City of the Future” (or so they’d like you to think). The utopia imagined here is allegorical of own dear home of Baltimore, once dubbed “The Greatest City in America” at the precipice of transformation. Through the lens of a live movie we see an incredible force, the Ancient Ones, arrive at their ancestral mating grounds and are met with something unexpected: Human society. The antithesis of their culture, full of constructs, rules, and conventions. The inevitable clash between the two groups reveals the perils of power, defying expectations and norms, and the many different ways to love.

An original romantic comedy rock musical set in 1959. Suddenly, on a day like any other, giant monsters emerge from the Earth and begin wreaking havoc with one purpose in mind: MATING. Dr. Mary Ekhart - recently dumped by her heroic boyfriend Cliff - is an ambitious scientist with hopes of saving Bay City. She stumbles across a mystic secret power that allows her to bridge the gap between humans and kaiju, and with the help of her friends, discovers that maybe the monsters just want love, too. A sidesplitting, Broadway-style rock musical about friendship, power, love, and GIANT MONSTER FIGHTS!
