Get Ready to LOVE&ROAR!

Updated: Jul 1, 2022

I am excited to announce that I will be directing the Baltimore Rock Opera Society's fall main-stage production of "Love & ROAR!"

A heartfelt comedy of monstrous proportions! Opening November 4th, 2022!

Bay City is an idyllic place to live. Except for the Ancient Ones. They suddenly appeared one day and are demolishing everything in their path. Meet Dr. Mary Ekhart; she’s recently been dumped, and now her world is crumbling around her. Meanwhile, Ancient One Kentaro is all alone, unlucky on the battlefield and in love. Their unlikely bond, and a mysterious power yet to be awoken, may save everyone from the greatest cataclysm ever known: PROM.

Explore relationships in a love letter to romantic comedies and Japanese monster movies. Witness Atomic Age antics and discover the value of friendship, empathy and loving the unconventional parts of you. There are big sets, big monsters, big music, and even bigger heart. After all, all’s fair in Love and ROAR!

From the BROS press release:

"In an effort to melt the maximum number of faces, BROS is producing two full scale rock operas in 2022. The pink glitter is settling from Glitterus and we are diving into Love and Roar!!!! Love and Roar is a romantic comedy with Kaiju. Kaiju is Japanese for monster. There is love, breakups, and destruction, all set to a killer soundtrack of sci fi disaster music and 2000s indie pop. In the original pitch it was described as, "a spectacle with HEART and show about love of ALL KINDS. "
